I have noticed something interesting about FNB Connect, and am wondering if its just me losing my mind or not.
They're selling data caps, i.e 5GB 10GB etc. Now you would think, like most ISPs that if you buy a capped data bundle, you get to run at full line speed on that bundle (since there is no risk of abuse, you purchased a cap and will be cutoff after that)
Interestingly, if I buy Prepaid ADSL on Axxess and friends, my ADSL runs at a download of approx 5mbits (it only syncs at just over 6)
However, buy prepaid on FNB, and your speed tests show a nice wholesome speed throttle to 4mbps.
So, they're selling capped data AND throttling bandwidth. Is it just me or is that a bit dodgy??
Oh, and hi to everyone I have spoken to in a few months
