FNB Connect

Hi murray654

Our network is up and running.

When did the problem start?

^NS

Since this morning I can connect to cell c (roaming on vodacom), but it seems FNB connect is down, and so there is no internet on that router using an FNB connect SIM. *111# says 521MB data remining.

I am using a backup connection (rural wifi) to post this.

Its not Cell c problem, but there is no FNB connect sub forum here.

UPDATE:

Rebooted the router again, at first no change...

This is the result of ping test on the router:

PING www.cellc.co.za (41.50.26.204): 32 data bytes

--- www.cellc.co.za ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

found other hosts reponding, so it seems that my failover rule was the problem. Pinging cellc.co.za failed, so my firewall connected to the wifi backup. changed the host I was pinging and 3G is now working...

FNB connect sim data not working again

This is happening _a lot_

whats up with FNB connect? ... its offline more than its online this morning

heres a ping test from my router

PING www.ridetheberg.co.za (129.232.174.212): 32 data bytes

--- www.ridetheberg.co.za ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

DNS resolves but 100% packet loss

Also the USSD is not working half the time:
Sent:
*111#
Received:

Error at WASP. E155

5 minutes later USSD:
Sent:
*111#
Received:

Balance Summary
Airtime: R0.00
Voice: 0 Min
Data: 632.06 MB
SMS: 0 SMS

Note: Your Data balance includes Nite Data. Dial *147# for a detailed view.

But still get this:

PING www.ridetheberg.co.za (129.232.174.212): 32 data bytes

--- www.ridetheberg.co.za ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

Hi blunt

Thank you for posting to us.

Kindly advise of your location? We will check if there are any issues, however, it doesn't seem to be a Cell C problem.

We have received notification that there is problem with FNB, which is being looked into. Cell C will be assisting in ensuring that customers stay connected while the issue is being resolved.

is it just voice or data services that are affected?

Seems rectified now.

I am in Woodstock during office hours and N. Subs CPT after hours.

I see it is back again.

I have a new issue on FNB connect where it's ignoring my available data bundle.

Since yesterday morning if I try to browse to any site , I get redirected to recharge.fnb.co.za . I checked and I have 640mb of remaining data. It also used my airtime up 1st , which luckily was only R2 or something .

The exact same thing is happening on my girlfriends FNB connect number , which is on her own account . So unless its just a massive coincidence , looks like there is a bigger system issue.

I've just been told to log the issue with : [email protected].

So just giving you guys a heads-up to make sure your data bundle is being used and not your airtime.
