Hey everyone,

Can someone give a brief explanation of how the credit balances work with FNB?

Only recently got a credit card, and finding it difficult to keep track of what I owe, and what I have as a positive balance.

For example,

Credit limit: R15000
Current balance: R8000 and
Available balance: R11000

Does current balance mean money I have (it increases when I transfer money from my debit card)? Does negative current mean I owe the bank? According to Google searches, negative means the bank owes you...?

What happened to the other R4000 from my available balance, if my detailed balance says I don't owe the bank anything?

I also have a few k's of pending transactions. Where are they deducted from, or are they not calculated until the transaction is banked?

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

Thanks!

Here is NOT mine:

Credit : 20 000 (Not visible)
Available : 18 000 (All transactions calculated)
Balance : -1500(Pending kak moet nog hier by kom)

Last month I bought for 1500
Yesterday I added fuel for 500

Thus the conclusion

Reading that, I might assume you've spent R7 000 on your CC, with R3 000 in pending transactions?
But it sounds like you're saying you've put in money which then means I've got no idea.
You know what you've spent so try see what adds up, taking into account any pending items.

I'd agree and say it is rather confusing so not a stupid question.
