So fees wise they are pretty close if you ask me.
FNB R4.95 PAYU per month .
Capitec R5.25 PAYU per month.
FNB has easy rewards. Level 3 give you R20 back a month and you just need to use the app once, deposit R1000 a month or more and have R1500 in a linked saving pocket.
Capitec has no rewards but has pretty decent fees.
Capitec charges R8.50 fixed fee at any bank any amount to withdraw. This is pretty big if you ask me. FNB charges R1.85 per R100 can get expensive if you need R5000 cash.....
Capitec charges R1.30 for cash @ till with FNB Cash @ Till is free.
Capitec charges R3.40 per debit order while FNB charges R7.50 per debit order
Capitec charges R1.50 per app payment whil FNB charges R3.50 per app payment
FNB made some changes to their Easy accounts. Before a personalized card was required for online purchases. FNB has now made it that you can do online purchases even if you do not have a personalized card you just need to activate it in online banking.
So I've been with Capitec since 2009 and tried FNB Easy account for a couple of months not changing any of my banking behavior and even with the free R20 a month I'm still paying about R120 per month for charges. With Capitec the charges was about R80-R100 per month.
So what do you guys thing Capitect all the way or FNB took the lead with the easy account?
