I am not against change at all but companies need to understand that different platforms require different UI's. The method of interfacing with a web page is different on the different platforms. PC web browsers can have pop up menus or hover over menus. They also have much bigger screens. Phones have small screens and need to provide the bare essentials, not big pictures, etc. Tablet designs should work in the same way that apps work. It is more effort but the rewards make it worthwhile. FNB have decided to screw 3/4 of their clients by focusing their design on the tablet/phone market. It's a great tablet design but a poor PC design. MS made a similar mistake with WinRT in Windows 8. They had a very valid agenda for pushing it so I can understand their reasoning but FNB has no such reason other than saving costs by building one site.
I also have to say that I can't see how they can say that they tested it properly as the first thing I clicked on after logging in produced an error. They focus group probably grew with the project. I think it's doubtful that they asked a subset of their clients to take a look before deploying it once the site was complete.
