FNB Gold Cheque Card

As a client of almost 10 years, I am still waiting for a response on a complaint I laid with them. They brag about 3 days and delivery, but that is just to get you in!

don't get me wrong, Their online banking service is good, but dare to enter a branch.

Also want to know if its possible to get 2 cards and allow for 2 different signatures to make purchases. Would like to get the wife her own card (for the same acc.) because she does most of the grocery shopping while I'm at work.

That's why I'm asking these questions here and not at an FNB branch
The fnb website is usually pretty informative.

I'm planning on opening an FNB cheque account and was wondering if I can go straight to opening a Gold Cheque Account or do I have to first start off with Silver and after a certain period of time/usage will I only be able to move up to Gold? (Have a feeling I can start off with Gold but just want to make sure with someone who's familiar with it).

Thanks in advance guys

They don't actually care... My sister earning no salary was "upgraded" to gold when she opened an account.

Took less than 5 seconds to process my personal application online, and the card was delivered in no time at all. But as for my business account with them, I have no words... 45 minutes in the bank the first day, and ONE HOUR and TWENTY minutes a week later...

It is actually R100K+ per month
Lawl, anyone earning that sort of dough would qualify for a super platinum diamond card. I certainly don't earn that and have had a gold card for the past 3 years.

Yes. We just enquired about this.

You can get a secondary credit card via email. All you do is send the app and id copy to your banker and she will sort it out for you.

With a cheque account you have to delegate authority to your wife on the cheque account. This involves signing forms and stuff so you / her have to go in. Then she will also get a cheque card on the same account.

I chose the credit card option as I didnt want to go in.

I think both options are also free...

Nice to get a platinum card for the slow lounge access Not sure but I think the requirements for a platinum card is about 16k coming into your acc monthly

AFAIK, u pay for an extra ccard unless u have a Platinum ccard.
Not sure about cheque cards.

The fancier the card, the more you pay. Platinum <blegh> Give me Capitec! :p
