FNB Pay2Cell launched

Withdrawing cash more then 10 times a month! Thats equates to going to an ATM once every 3 days - that is unreasonable from my point of view.

Hey, you right, you can do what you want with you cash - bank with Captitec, with the same usage you going to clock up a minimum of R70 in bank charges just on ATM's. Some banks offer unlimited transactions for that amount (if you use their own ATM).

Choose whats right for you.

It is not unreasonable to want to draw cash how you want. You don't get to say how someone else should spend their own money. If they want to draw cash every 3 days that is their own deal.

It is still not ok to charge R30 to draw cash, even at once a month! Even Standard Bank never charged us that much and SB sucks. You should also be able to draw at whatever bank is closest. My husband has still not been able to find an FNB ATM anywhere near his office or his main client and so has to draw from other bank's ATM.

The other banks must cringe at these adverts, they are right on the money.

*snort* I think they're laughing their asses off. After everything they said on the adverts I had to drag my account out of them (easy 10 minute online application - not true), the card took 5 days to get to me and their email said 10 days (3 days in the advert), I am still waiting 2 months later for the free debit order switching to take effect and they are completely uninterested in finding out why it has not happened, etc. etc. I could go and on how $h*tty the service has been.

Because the success or failure of a bank is their cross browser internet banking tests... amirite?

Yes actually, it is very important. They are trying to get people to use the interface rather than come in to the branch - of course it is more efficient and cost effective - but you then you need to make the interface really work.

Their banking site sent me incorrect OTPs one day - upon entering them 3 times (I really checked I was doing the right thing) my account was locked. It took 3 days to get it unlocked because the service is so bad - after several useless call centre agents I demanded to speak to a manager but he only resolved the problem the next day. Then I was forced to change my password and could not use my old one or any I had used previously which meant my chosen password that I could remember could not be used.

The whole debacle has done much to put us completely off FNB (what little trust we still had after the application process).

Wow you seem to be quite jinxed when it comes to their site :D
