Hi There

Anybody taken up the FNB phone offer for R0 pm on eBucks reward level 5?

Been on level 5 ever since but not sure whether to take up the offer? What if eBucks rules change for the next year and I'm stuck with the contract for 24 months.

I took up the offer . Gave phone to my son.
Fnb deduct R150 and 2 days later you get it back.

Very happy with the free phone. I plan on remaining on RL5 after the annual rule change as I make plenty back every month. It's not hard.

Yes but how sure are you about remaining on level 5, I won't lie it is easy to get there and maybe Fnb has noticed how easy it is and may change a few things around.

Also, is there some sort of 'deposit' required to be in your savings account? What savings account can it be in

I didn't have trouble with the rule change last year or this year. Some changes, sure, but not a big deal.

You need to leave R1,500 in a interest earning savings pocket account for 24 months.

Always amazed when grown men talk about "free" anything !!

It is "free" in the sense that this costs R0.00 extra for those on the correct level or whatnot (from that I understand). So by not taking FNB up on the offer the user would be "losing out".

You have to do something to enable FNB to "give" you a free phone. There is no way that they are not going to recoup their money plus some extra. Just like any rewards program out there.

Ah, drinking milk feeds the brain. Finally someone who understands the 150 year old adage, " no such thing as a free lunch"!!

It's FREE for someone already on the rewards program ( level 5) .

So if you are there already it's free compared to someone also on the same rewards level who chose not to take the phone.

Bottom line : FREE

I'm already on reward level 5 so it's free for me, didn't have to do anything other than a deposit. Also includes some free voice, sms and data every month.

I had to deposit R1,500 in an interest earning savings account which you can't draw for 24 months.

If they benefit hugely from the deposit then good for them. I got a free phone and airtime/sms/data monthly. It's a pretty good phone btw.
