FNB removes new eBucks rule

Is it R5000 pm ?

and does it have to be swipes or can it be debit orders/transfers ?
I'm fairly sure it has to be swipes and that debit orders / transfers won't count. But that said, I don't bother trying to qualify via my cheque account, instead I do all my swiping and eBucks earning via my credit card.

How do you get to level 4?
What do I need to do (excluding any debt products)?

I am now on level 5. took a fixed deposit on 10000 over 6 months and got moved up a level. 40 % discounts ftw.

not sure

i have a platinum account
i swipe quite a bit (electricity, telkom, dstv, all shopping etc) so deffo over 5k
i also use my cheque card to pay for fuel.
now i got this fixed deposit thing
also have a flexi fixed deposit for my baby as well as fluid account and home loan but not sure if it helps.

Cash also has a cost attached to it due to handling/transport, but I suppose not as high as the card fee percentage.
It may actually be higher. Many times people fail to notice the real costs of cash handling. If I get paid cash I have to pay to deposit it, and if it is a large amount also to have someone protect it on it's way to the bank. To buy with cash I have to withdraw it, which means either paying withdrawal fees so I can withdraw exactly what I need when I need it or withdraw large amounts at a time which then exposes me to potentially large losses through theft.

Then also if everyone suddenly switched exclusively to cash the banks would, if this lowered their income, simply alter their charges to bring their revenue back to the same level. Perhaps higher if handling cash costs them more.

Why doesn't FNB Online Banking have feature of been able to transfer ebucks from one account to another account?

Could be a technicality. Maybe their platform is written to link in with others but because eBucks is another currency trading it is not possible. Who knows.

If you didn't know (you probably do) you can do it via the eBucks.com site

I just bought R3000 worth of Makro vouchers with 18000 ebucks. Scam? If so I fail to see how I'm being scammed.
Ive been with ebucks for many years. Regardless of the rules, I have ALWAYS come out on top.

I only get the "in contact" style sms's from ebucks.. I find it hard to believe ebucks would be sending you sms's about instant cash loans. Sorry. it doesn't gel with me.
In fact I only get one or two ebucks email newsletters a month besides my statements and account activity mails. I cannot see what people are b1tching about. Surely you cannot be blaming general spam on ebucks?

I would believe him considering I get bi weekly post of the same nature from Wesbank which is pretty much FNB.

My post is now 2 years old and I still stand by what I said. Not once in the past two years have I received spam about loans from e bucks. Other than the in contact mails and the occasional pricing increase letter I dont get any spam from them at all.

Thats saying something, considering I have a car loan, cheque account, credit card, business account, trust account, homeloan, personal loan with fnb (<-- edit, forgot to add that bit).

I am now going to find a corner and sulk for a bit because this post made me think of all the money I owe :(

I don't think he means it comes from eBucks directly.

Rather than he opens himself up to abuse from Firstrand in general.

I still dont buy it. I have a couple of email addresses. My main one I use for banking and business. I never ever use it for anything but official use, that includes ebucks. It never gets spam.
The addresses I use for forums and the like get tons of spam.
My "serious" email gets nothing.

I get more emails from MyBroadband than I do from FNB :/
