I need some suggestions,
Most of us have very limited options here but for now I've net99 ISP on evotel network fully operational in our area and since day one having speed issues especially international servers. The tech from network provider support did replace the ONT mentioned that it could be at fault.

After that nothing changed. Have no other network provider available here but according to most ISP openserve would be the next option but there is no signs of them in our area. Is a 60meg line.

Is hard to say, could be some packet loss on your line but your ISP needs to run tests and escalate this to your FNO if that's the case.

Have you done any MTRs or IPerfs?

Evotel is an open access network. You should be able to use any ISP.

If its international then I cannot see how it could be FNO related.
Packetloss on the FNO side would have a major impact on international performance, regardless of the capacity the ISP has available.

Best to try to some international destinations if it's mostly international.

Do you get line speed locally?

Does your performance vary during different hours or always the same?
Any international destinations you suggest?

I already posted the local speedtest to capetown server in the screenshot. But it seems mostly long distance.

Will try in peak hours.

Meanwhile will try ISP test account maybe?

Sure will post some in a bit, unfortunately no way to use another ISP account on Evotels network.

I'll try to cancel my current package with net99 but just want to make sure first.

Oh crap is because this crap FNO locked its ONT to its certain ISP it seems.

from that image Openserve is available in your area. Any reason why you went with Evotel?

Evotel is open access. Any ISP can work on it but it's vlan based so Evotel needs to ask reflex to change the vlan to another ISP if you want to test which is not so easy.

OS still on copper infrastructure in our area. The area under rollout phase.

According to OS I can pre order. They don't have no ETA.

You and I are the same, openserve has coverage for the house front opposite of mine, yet I have no coverage. Net99 the FNO is available as close access fibre and Is the worst Internet provider I have ever used. Currently using rain 5g, good so far only wish it had better upload speeds

I spoke net99 tech and he mentioned about reflex managing as their backhaul. Because according to tech they also are also network providers.

Seems the evotel is the problem here and they not really good in communication etc.

Yeah so in these situations Evotel does the last mile build, they contract to Reflex for backhaul to the NNI point of handover to the ISP.

Your ISP needs to prove where the issue lies and then escalate it according, so first with Evotel and then Evotel to reflex etc.

But if the performance is poor and the same all the time it's realistically not congestion. It will be loss on the last mile or backhaul, or ISP related.

Either way your ISP needs to figure it out, that's how things work.
