I don't understand the issue. Most people worked from an office all the time. If the company wants you back at the office - then go?

Yes, but if companies managed to operate just fine over the past 2 years with their staff working remotely, why does it have to change back?

For most cases I can see it being way more beneficial and profitable for both the employees and employer (make the office smaller, no more travel subsidies, etc).

Our office does not exist anymore - well, at least not our CT branch and not a **** am I going to move to Centurion where our head office, servers, etc are.

Our company did not renew the lease of our CT branch and told us we will work from home for good.

So I will resign.

A silly thing they put in our new contracts was that we are not allow to work from other provinces. I do not know what the logic behind that decision was.

No if's or but's. You work for the company. They don't work for you.

They told me to go back to the office, I went back to the office. I hate it here.

Must look into finding a different job with work from home options.

There are some aspects of my job that need to be done at the office, but that was never a problem during work from home time, would arrange to come in and get it done.

Today is a typical work day, I came in and worked on my PC, I said hi to my boss and co-workers, no face to face communication related to work, and yet they insist we work at the office...
