Ford Focus clutch broken

I guess you must have got a Friday car Pynet.

Besides the clutch problems I'm very happy with my Focus. I was gonna get the ST but saw the insurance quotes! The 2.0l has more than anough power for me for a car without a turbo (3kw's less than a Polo GTi). Got leather seats and sports kit & wheels and sport suspension for free when I bought it...ask a VW dealer for the same options at the same price for a weaker Golf V... and they'll look at you like you're crazy.
 
I love my little 1.6 Bantam. Hasn't given me any problems at all (and it was my first attempt at FORD).

I drove a Golf 4 1.8T around 2 years ago and the turbo went .... R12k repair bill (Company cars are great hey :D )

Yeah.. I asked for a quote the other day for replacement tires on the ST and was told R6.5k.. each.

I laughed and now know why I get my tires through friends. I now pay 6k for a full set

Depends on where you go.. If you want PM me and I'll send you the details of my insurance broker. Many of the ST owners have moved over to these guys. My insurance is R800 a month for my car, and that includes 400k cover on the house

:eek: What brand are you using?? I paid R4000 for the set... and I'm pretty happy with the buy, even around the track they seemed to be pretty happy...
 
Just check on the ST forum... The Achilles tyres, they range from around R800 - R1000 per tyre and they are pretty good.
 
Ford just phoned me, they replaced some 'mesh' thing in the gearbox...and have now told me they need to replace the clutch as well!

So I should get the call this afternoon or tomorrow to go test the car before they sign it off.
