Ford Focus Fuel Consumption Stats

I drive around 20km a day to work and back and even with no spirited driving at all I cant get a lower consumption than 11-12L/100km. My normal mileage is around 350km on a full tank to empty . . .. thats a bit crazy when you think they claim 8L/100km average.

The car is going for its first service next month and i want to bring this up with Ford, but for now, i wanted to find out what you guys are getting on average.

Exactly the same here also about 20km a day and i normally get about 10.9.. on the open road best i have got is 8.2 with cruise control on

Is that still the 2,5L 5-cylinder?

Not servicing the car could be part of your problem.

Yea, the petrol 1.6 was heavy on fuel. I eventually sold it and got a 2006 2.0 diesel. MUUUUUCH better fuel consumption (6.5l/100km combines) and thats heavy foot driving. The torque on a diesel!! I dont think I could ever go back.
Im actually now looking for a diesel SUV.
Anyone have anything to say about the Nissan Quashqai? 2l diesel?
 
Ran a 1.0 ecoboost sedan for 2 years... very heavy foot and this was consistently my average. Did get better if driven with some restraint... sold now as i had tons of issues and it was going out of warranty 20180703_070635.jpeg
