Forticlient + Telkom LTE issues

Since last week Tuesday 14 May 2024, I have been unable to connect to Forticlient using Telkom LTE

I have tried connecting via others LTE routers also with Telkom and the issue is the same
They have tried to connect with different computers to difference Routers all using telkom different numbers - unable to connect

I bought a LTE vodacom Sim card and used it in my phone as a hotspot and managed to successfully connect to Forticlient VPN

I have changed the TLS setting versions - no success
IT department has also tried various things including upgrading my OS to windows 10 ( from windows7) using the latest forticlient version - no change

Does anyone else have the same issue or possible suggestions on what to do?

I have a telkom LTE contract specifically for work and if i cannot use it I will need to stop this contract. and switch to Vodacom

P.s internet on the telkom LTE no issues -it is only when trying to connect to forticlient that it has this issue.
 
Report them.

But first try the Telkom Unrestricted APN.
I have read about this in the rabbit hole I found myself down. . I am abit hesitant to try as I know to little about internet things, am abit concerned over security and how that would effect... everything.

It can only be the forticlient settings , either on the client or the vpn server side.

I use the forticlient software everyday using multiple internet connections and mine works fine.
 
Update - going on 3 weeks...

Its all working - thank goodness

So many things done and changed and and and..

Yesterday eventually IT was going to send me a desktop - OMG NO!!

After reading the replies and doing my own research and digging.

The IT had updated certificates and and and.... somewhere in all this they changed the TLS settings - Based on the one thread I had found - Misread it and took away the TLS 1.2 ( which is what Forticlient prefers)

Anyway - I ticked TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.1 - in advanced internet settings and low and behold - I can connect and all is well.

Your IT seems a bit clueless, thats where they should have started in the first place - re-setup the Forticlient
 
To be honest they did everything, un installing re installing. Upgrade os.( I was on windows 7 hahaha) my poor laptop underwent alot. ) I'm just happy it is now sorted out... now to get used to a new os and catch up.

then your IT team dont know Fortigates ;)
