Forum improvement suggestions

The mobile version goes to full page version. As I'm usually browsing the MyBB forums on my phone, please bring back old mobile version. Light on data usage and scrolling :D.
 
I don't know if this has been addressed before, but I often need to search for 2 and 3 letter words eg ISP. Why can't one do this?
 
NOOOOOOooooo!!!!111oneoneeleven. I can't filter searches by forum. I wanted to search for slides, but only in photography, but a couldn't :cry:.

Also, the smaller reply box (or a bigger font) was better because it helped keep replies short.

Actually: I started of mildly annoyed by it but thought that it would grow on me. It isn't... the new theme is very distracting. Instead of enabling my use of the forum it is in the way of it.
The 'New Posts' page is very cluttered with glaring white in between the clutter - the copy used to be spaced out nicely across the page in an easy, natural reading layout - now it is all scrunched up with two different font weights and several colours...

And yes: I too am driven away by it. I'd usually leave a tab open with MyBB loaded all day long, now I just check in every so often and quickly scan then close it again.

I am not aware of all of the issues with the change and I am sure that a lot of work has gone into it and I hate to be down on someone elses efforts but from a purely personal POV the new layout/theme is a deal breaker... hate it.

+1 I also thought I would give it a chance, but i find I am re-reading posts and missing ones that I would like to read

It feels a bit disjointed
 
I usually use Firefox 3.5.1 but it renders this new version in a semi-complete fashion, almost unusable. It works fine however in IE6. What gives?

That also baffled me for a bit - click on the block that says 'username', then you can enter your username there and then password in the adjacent block
 
When clicking on a quote's view post button it takes me to the OP of the thread.

Email notifications, as well as first new post button, don't take me to the new post, instead to the newest page.

Bigger font in the reply box. It looks a bit bigger now, maybe I'm getting used to it.

The white isn't great. White isn't necessarily a bad colour it's just there's too much white. If themes are implemented I'd suggest changing the default theme.

The "Reply to Thread" and the "Quick Reply" box should have a bigger window to write text in it (the height) and also the default text should be a bit larger.
 
What happened to the additional GOOGLE search function under "Search" Please may we have it back!
 
What happened to the "Jump to Forum" at the bottom, and the "Quick Navigation" is not the same, now you got to click on "Top" then look around for the forum you are currently on to get back to the topics :(
Currently you only have the option to Quick Reply, else you have to go to Advanced to get the normal reply screen.
The new look is quite nice but lets at least have what we had and add to that.
 
Too much white, too much big text which mean too much scrolling. I haven't see any of the benefits (?) as I have not looked but the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind. Why was this rework undertaken? to give work to some clown?

When I am on the last comments page, I usually go back to the front page with all the articles listed. I don't see a button allowing that, so I always delete most of the address in the address bar to take me back to the main page otherwise I have to press the back botton to get back. Can we please have a "Jump to the main Page" button?
 
What happened to the VERY useful "TODAYS posts" Button ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Please! Please! Please!
