Forum Upgrade

[-]What I've picked up on now is when clicking on "New Posts" there is no reference wrt which sub-forum the actual post is from.[/-]

Just haven't set my eye in it would seem, not to the right like it used to be, rather underneath the post. :o

Can be very confusing especially when those darn WoW posts come along

Also when viewing the "New Posts", you don't have the functionality of clicking back to the main forum, as there was before. If you know what I mean.

Seems to depend on your resolution and size of the browser window. It's kinda funny seeing part of a picture in my scrollbar :D

Yarr...

At the top where, underneath New Post and above Reply to Thread, it says: * Home * Forum * Latest Happenings * Announcements * Forum Upgrade

Forum Upgrade is the one you're in (this one) so just click Announcements (or, in your case, Motoring) and you'll be back in that section.

Is that what you mean? :o

I've done that and it then takes me to the whole menu again. I simply want to go back to the Forum I was reading, the way I always have done. If I just go on the back arrow on my computer, I end up there, but with a page that has not been refreshed...does this make sense to anybody?

That's weird. They all seem to look fine to me. I'm using a 23 inch monitor though. What size is your monitor and can you give us a screenshot? Hint: use screengrab extension in Firefox.

That's weird... both Quick Navigation and what I mentioned work fine for me... Have you perhaps tried clearing your cookies? It's the only other thing I can think of...

Thanks, I'm quite capable of buggering it up somewhere...just finding this new way rather cumbersome...:(

Just a suggestion. I think a new logo would compliment the new format well. The current logo is so 23/01/10:p

i agree, i likes the classic look much more.....

why fix something that wasn't broken??

we need a poll please!

Edit: and why do the quotes show up at the bottom of my post?! argggh!

Isn't that your signature, Keeper?

right, lol.... :p

I just dunno man, the old one was perfect - can't we each choose which one we want to run, and keep everyone happy? :D

We need to find out if this theme is the new default theme for the latest version of vBulletin because, if it is, it might not be possible to go back to the old theme.

Best solution would be to just hire a vBulletin skinner and pay him/her to customize it how we want. I'm sure there's local guys that have experience in skinning vB.

I rate wait a week and then poll--gives people time to get used to it and then decide in a less spur-of-the-moment kind of way.

I didn't really like it much at first either, but I'm warming up to it a lot :)

If it can't be stopped then it can't be stopped and a poll is pointless. But if it could be stopped best poll early so that no more time, effort and money is wasted (unless there is still much work in progress).

I wonder what rpm is thinking about the dissent of the new design. Now he's in Telkom's boat: mmm, if there is threat of a mass exodus where are the exiles going to

Don't like it one bit.

Signatures look like it is part of the post.Very confusing.

edit:I see it had already confuse Keeper.
