I haven't been able to find a thread on this topic and so have decided to create one instead.
To give some context: Excited about the prospect of fibre and no longer having to rely on adsl, I signed up through Maboneng for the Cool Ideas 50/50. I later found out that Maboneng is in fact Fibrehoods and that LinkAfrica would be installing the fibre from the road and into my home. Well it's been months now and currently Fibrehoods claims to be completely out of ONT's and so the in home installation can't take place. The entire process has been nothing short of frustrating. Fibrehoods really doesn't seem to care about customer service at all.
I called Cool Ideas and they followed up and called me back, saying that Fibrehoods should have ONTs by Friday.
So that's been my story.
Other FWG residents what has been your experience getting Fibre? Anyone else experiencing the same? ( which company did you choose, how long did it take etc)
