You are wrong. The whole idea was that you can't say 50KWH is not enough because it's from 2003. The correct statement would be 50KWh is not enough because people need more (in 2003 and now, although now the efficiencies are better).

I don't want to argue if that's enough or not. I'm not an expit like you and Swa, you guys must give Chris Yelland a run for his money. And take ESKOM to court because they claim 50KWh and 6KL water are enough for the 'basics'.

My argument from the beginning was that 50 kW was not enough in 2003, and supplementary electricity was affordable then. 50 kW is still not enough and the supplementary is no longer affordable as the price exceeds the inflationary cost many times.

The biggest users of power are heating and cooling appliances. Anything that is an inductive load on the home circuit, such as stoves, geysers, fridges, heaters, etc. Not minor capacitive loads, such as a single LED light bulb or a flat screen TV.

In 2003 you were probably a school kid or toddler and now you are conscious and educated and now your whole principled young individual comes out. The statement was: 50KWH is not enough BECAUSE IT'S FROM 2003. The first part of the statement I am not arguing over. I am disputing the bolded part and you haven't shown I'm wrong.

If ESKOM is wrong and that 50KWH is not enough for the 'basics' i.e. minimum, then you are still incorrect to claim: 50KWH is not enough because it's from 2003.
