Free Country Database? MS Access?

I need a database of all the countries in the world. Just the country names will be sufficient, but any other info will also be helpful (like Dialling codes).

Does MS Access include such a database?

I know you can order them from the ISO certification website....

but I don't want to have to pay 154,00 CHF (whatever that is)

Surely there are some free databases already out there?

anybody wanna help me out? :o
 
Go to a website that has registation page with a list of countries.

Right click, View Source, Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V
 
well I know with ArcView GIS, you get modules (or whatever they're called) that include all sorts of data. Like atm, I have a KZN one ......... I'll try find out where you get them from if you like. Obviously you need to have the GIS to get the info but maybe I can extract it into an doc. form ..............
