Free Cybersmart hosting

Cybersmart has a free hosting option and I want to host a phpBB forum on it. I thought it would be enough to just FTP my files onto the server and I'm sorted but now I see in the list of 'features' that it doesn't support PHP, MySQL or 'PHP BB forum'...

Does this mean it won't work to just upload the phpBB files onto the server and away I go? I really have limited knowledge of hosting so thanks for your help.

No it won't work for what you want to do. You would require the Linux Gold package at R69/pm, http://www.cybersmart.co.za/hosting.cgi

Free hosting packages are only going to have basic features. All dynamic web pages would require a database (MySQL) and a code interpreter (PHP). You going to have to spend some money if you want to host something like phpBB but it doesn't have to cost you a truckload
