I can get full 20 because of my distance but I'm on 14Mbps. So yeah the tracker even when it says Max 4Mbps people have posted before showing they have 10Mbps lines so it would be hard to get a exact figure even if Telkom themselves release it it would be hard to trust it.

Free DStv Explora with 10Mbps+ Telkom DSL

I can get full 20 because of my distance but I'm on 14Mbps. So yeah the tracker even when it says Max 4Mbps people have posted before showing they have 10Mbps lines so it would be hard to get a exact figure even if Telkom themselves release it it would be hard to trust it.
I will give Telkom a free DStv Explora if they can give me 10Mbps ADSL
Yeah me too my neighbourhood is stuck on 4Mb as well with no sign of it ever increasing.
I had the same thing and asked why would I downgrade from my existing 4 tuner decoder to this? Their answer was that this decoder has more catch-up programmes. I have never used the catchup feature before so I said goodbye.

I'm still stuck on 4, which normally runs ate between 2 and 3.5 and I am 10 enabled through those upgrades that telkom did, you know the ones, sand in the dessert, salt water in the sea
Time to downgrade and save some beer money.
I still would like to see the 3 year old stats update, on what exchanges are enabled and to what speed for a comparison.

It's funny, the Telkom Store in Somerset West advertises VDSL 40Mbps on posters inside the store, yet there is no VDSL here - heck I can't even get faster then 4Mbps

This I would do this any day. Imagine how many Explora's Telkom will end up with.
So would I!!! But alas, being a platteland town, chances of our DSLAM ever giving more than 4Meg, is nil and nada.

It never did not work. Its always been active, they've just made it more useful as previously it only responded to pings (from my experience)

I'm also quite surprised that it took them this long to actually do something like this. The Explora is quite an impressive piece of kit (hardware wise)
