Free HSDPA Swapout

Have you already swapped your old 3G data card for a new HSDPA data card?

Thanks. I've tried Hatfield, Centurion, Hatfield Plaza and others but couldn't find one. Maybe I should stop by at Vodaworld on the way home today.

Ridiculous that no-one else seems to have though...

ATT: ALL 3G users with the old datacards.You have until 30 September 2006 to swop your data card .After this date NO DATA CARDS will be swoped for FREE.

Got no idea, make it look as presentable as possible and try your luck.....:)

Otherwise you can try and sell it directly on the forum.

At least....

But don't despair, everyone will be swapped. Stock is a huge issue worldwide. The other HSDPA networks in South Africa have not got any cards in the field yet, so it's a universal problem.

I'll get an update on stock and revert.
 
make sure you swop out your card before 30 September 2006, as Tahir Ally as indicated. This is the cutt off Date for FREE Swop Out :)

What about swapouts? Or are you also keeping your stock only for new clients? This is, after all, the swapout thread... :rolleyes:

I am doing both but after receiving the the Swop out deadline,I am swoping all my clients 1st and than everyone else.It also depends on the DEMAND and if stock is available @ the warehouse

By holding onto HSDPA data cards, and turning away swap-out customers, are you not shooting yourself in the foot - every person turned away that does not come back, is the loss of potential future business, not to mention what those people tell the people they know about retail outlet X at location Y...

I have to agree... Althought I have noticed this trend with all shops.... It is frustrating and makes you wish you could deal direct sometimes if it wasn't for the specials. There is always an excuse, and unfortunatly it gives a bad name to Vodacom since it is easily forgotten that Vodashop's are francished. (sp?) and so are most of the other dealers.
 
Does anyone know where to swop 3G card for HSDPA in Cape Town? Tried Tygervalley..no stock (maybe if I asked for a new contract???)

I have also had the same problem, the Tygervalley VodaShop had one, but they are holding it for new contracts. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, I managed to get mine swapped at Tygervalley at the Incredible Connection. They seem to have quite a few and don't give any hassels about upgrading. Just remember to take proof of purchase, as they can not look up the serial number like VodaShop can. I just got the VodaShop that I purchased my original 3G card from to fax the proof of purchase to me, and now am surfing on HSDPA.
P.S. Timothy from Incerdible Connection at Tygervalley gave great service, the next purchase or upgrade I do will be through him, definitley not through VodaShop again.

Just got my new HSDPA card and surfing happily.

Ps. Everybody in Cape Town get down to incredible connection in Tygervaley.
They've got lots of HSDPA cards and Timothy and Husain at the shop gives excellent service (I got the whole deal in just 5min!!)
 
Hmm, my local vodashop is still giving me hell with the swapout. They allegedly got stock on Wednesday, and now they have run out. The problem is I have been on their 'waiting list' since the 22nd of April.
They say that they give out the cards to the people on the waiting list as they come in (the cards). I confronted them about the fact that I have been on the waiting list for a long time, and they haven't phoned me about anything, their reply was simply:
'The waiting list is huge'. I asked them how 'huge' and their reply was:
'You don't want to know'. :mad:

To my knowledge that is simply translated to: 'We don't want to help you, now buzz off!'. I am losing my patience with this shop, plus, every time I phone them they simply don't answer their phone, it just goes off to some vodacom advert and that is where it stays. This forces me to go to the local mall (here in Rustenburg) and ask them face-to-face, and when I walk in, surprise surprise, the store is completely empty! :mad:
It takes me 5 mins to get there, and today I phoned them when I was like 2 metres from the store, I could see it was empty, and they still failed to answer their phone! :mad:

I find this utterly unacceptable and I would like to know if there is anything that can be done about it. I have phone numbers, names, the works, to supply if you need any of it.

The problem is I know there are many other stores in Pretoria-Jo'burg area that will go that extra mile for their customers, but then you get a store like this that completely tarnishes vodacom's good name.
 
either PM V3g or call 1082 and ask for the dealer help desk no or ask to be put through to that helpdesk. The ask for the senior supervisor and voice yur complaint about the said Vodashop.
