Free iBurst bandwidth after midnight

P2P is shaped heavily.

showphoto.php

I dont think its shaped too badly. I regularly get over 60kB/s, which I find acceptable for iBurst, on even low seeded torrents.

The above was a good night that averaged about 110kB/s :D

Lovely Stuff!! I just hope this will be a permanent feature, not just a Trial!! (Meaning: Let it be part of the iBurst Package, like the 64K Throttle once was a differentiating feature unique to iBurst.)

Concerns about the new uncapped feature

I do a lot of gaming on Xbox LIVE late at night, often after midnight. Great, so now I'm getting that bandwidth for nothing. I'm concerned, however, that what's inevitably going to be a massive surge of p2p traffic on iBurst's network is going to affect my connectivity.

A friend of mine on some fixed line connection has had a dramatic decrease in connectivity speeds since his ISP moved to uncapped solutions. It's so bad, he's having trouble browsing. And he's been completely unable to play anything over Xbox LIVE.

I'm going to be very upset if this becomes an issue on iBurst. Due to line faults in my house, I don't have the option of ADSL at all, so iBurst is really my only option for internet and gaming.

Doesn't seem to be working.... 00:20 and I am still throttled.... I shouldn't be throttled as it is the new month anyways and nevermind the new uncapped story....

I get small jumps in speed but mostly i'm still seeing 64kbs speed

Edit: Checked usage. Says I used 13mb and have 0 remaining....

I'm guessing that our problems are with the cap renewal system. Seeing as it is the 1st of the month it could be that we won't see the service working properly until we have received cap again. Though, it's been an hour... isn't the cap supposed to be renewed automatically? It's taking forever!

My cap usually comes in at 12am on the 1st :/

Edit: wait a minute I figured it out, what wasn't mentioned was that we'd be uncapped... at 64kbps :D?

It's counting towards the cap. Ok I had 2GB left over, but it's counting down and adding up. It's NOT unmetered.

Busy doing tests right now and I'll compare them to tests every week for the first 3 months, more of a concern is if it the uncapped thing doesn't work, and you eat your bandwidth away.
