Broken again - as far a RS is concerned - not sure o the rest... So my question becomes relevant after all....has IBURST decided to block RS?
Just a rather curios observation I made this morning as I watched my gentoo update. I have 2 black UTD modems on two accounts and the modems are standing right next to each other. Since I use load balancing every package is fetched on the other modem. However, with every second package I download I get 100kb/s and with the other modem I get 20kb/s.
All packages come from the same server, both modems are connected to the same tower, both have 100% signal.
The only reason that I can think of is that I was once cut off on my one account for abuse and that they permanently throttled me on that account.
Maybe mr r00igev@@r has a simple solution...

Bubbles was spotted at Margate beach this weekend.
This explains why iburst members experienced hiccups on the weekend.

P.S. Check where he placed his hand...![]()
Wonder if its my area then..?
There is no abuse throttling. If anything the policy was to disconnect until the end of the month unless a booster was purchased but that was only on 64 kb/s.
I suggest you check the network settings or mtu as a start.
I've also been having problems with RS and the net in general for past few mornings...
Rapidshare works fine for me as well. Getting great speeds after hours.

Network downtime advisory
The providers of one of our data centre facilities is doing maintenance work on its power supply systems on Saturday, 15th May 2010 from midnight to 8am (that's this coming Saturday).
This will affect connectivity for iBurst Wireless users (except in Durban and Cape Town), and customers using our mail and hosting services. It will also affect many of our other services such as iDSL, WDSL and voice services.
Is that a complete cut off of internet from 23h59 till 8am?
