Any update as to when/if the upgrade will happen?
So it is a good chance it is a hoax story then?
NO! Definitely not a hoax story.
Just be patient.
Have you read all the posts in this thread? i.e. Telkom is in a closed period and may not make any announcements?Telkom have not released any press statement, not even a hint...
We are halfway through May and we are to expect they will upgrade all 384 connections in June? Telkom would be shouting this from the rooftops by now surely?
It would keep a few customers from jumping ship to mobile broadband surely if it was true?
I seriously doubt they would do this unannounced?
Have they ever had an open period? Just kidding. That does not however explain zero info. Look how fast telkom denied the single pricing story for all ADSL.Have you read all the posts in this thread? i.e. Telkom is in a closed period and may not make any announcements?
Response != announcement. Wait until June for the announcement, you won't hear anything before then.Have they ever had an open period? Just kidding. That does not however explain zero info. Look how fast telkom denied the single pricing story for all ADSL.
It will happen in June...Not on the same date though. That's all I can tell you at this point. So be patientAny hard news yet, we are two weeks away from June and not a peep?
It _WILL_? And what makes you so certain? It will happen in June...Not on the same date though. That's all I can tell you at this point. So be patient![]()
You do know that what you're referencing there requires actual hardware changes? In order for you to be able to get 10Mbps you need to be on a fibre circuit (amongst other requirements).it's probably not going to happen so automatically & seamlessly, especially not for all... lol (lots of 4Mbps guys STILL waiting for 10Mbps years after it was supposed to materialize)
As if upgrading every single 384k user (the bulk of users) to nearly 3 times their original bandwidth, isn't going to require hardware/physical upgrades as well? You do know that what you're referencing there requires actual hardware changes?
