Friday driving!

Can anyone please explain to me what is with drivers on Fridays? I don’t understand how the same ppl that you see on the road every other day of the week completely lets go on a Friday… I am not kidding, it’s ridiculous! I was almost killed this morning because some idiot in one of those massive horse and trailer trucks who clearly bought his license from somewhere, couldn’t decide which lane he wanted to be in and then proceeded to turn right into me! And that was just the beginning; it got worse from there on. I hate driving on Fridays; I’m seriously considering never ever driving on a Friday again…

woah dude - just hit the roads a bit earlier
I was in my car at 6:45 going from town to claremont and there wasnt another car to bother me, let alone a big ass truck.
And it was surprisingly a lekka ride, good weather today.

Dude, that was from town to Claremont; try going the other way. At 06:30 the M5 is already packed; I don't mind though, at least it moves.
 
Huh. At 04h45 this morning the highway from Pta to Jhb was smooth sailing, with a few other nutjobs (like me) on their way, but otherwise no gripes
 
normal time on road and it was !$!~~@# packed :eek:, sigh normal 20min drive turned into 40min....
 
there's a difference between friday and any-other-day driving in sa? really? :p
 
I leave home at 05:00 and on Fridays I leave Pretoria at 11:30 so if there is a difference I don't notice :D
