Do you think a purely platonic friendship can exist between the sexes?

Ive got a female friend that i have a pretty good friendship with, when the thoughts came up, we discussed it and at the time neither wanted anything more. Being good friends is alot better than nothing :rolleyes:
 
If they are not attracted to eachother, then I suppose its possible, but the thought will always cross their minds, even if they laugh at the thought.

They don't have to be attracted to each other. It could be one sided and stop being platonic. As soon as for either person there's more than a just friends thought it's no longer platonic.

:eek:no,Been there tried that but in the end your head sings a different tune,there will come a day when that moment is just right and conditions true.You either kiss or worst happens.
A recipe for disaster is..listing in order
1-dont drink together alcohol alone at any given day
2-when you hurting do not seek comfort at night with the opposite sex when he /she lives alone
3-Do not go clubbing with said friend when you only know he /she in the club.

dablakmark8, the fact that you mention CLUBBING says one thing, you're in the age range of everyone else and thus the agreement with the topic.

If one of your platonic girlfriends (the ones that don't exist by the way) wears a low cut top or hipster jeans that reveals a glimpse of lace are you telling us you don't look?

(The jeans comments isn't sexist because ladies wear them like that on purpose. This comment might be a bit sexist though.)

I have gay friends and even they look at girls in ways that the girls fathers would not approve of.
