Right, so we are busy prepping for a frogfoot install and would like to avoid surprises and are pre-planning where we would like the fibre to run.

Are installers allowed to use existing telkom ducting from the curb to enter the erf and premises?
If not, would they use ducting that we lay beforehand?
Failing that, what ducting do they normally use, as I assume they do not simply bury the fibre as-is?

Easiest is the telkom route yes. If you lay your own path they will use it as long as it can take their cable and is secure + protected from damage and water proofed.

I'm not sure if I understand your response correctly. Are you confirming that they would be allowed to use existing Telkom ducts?

At my place they asked me if they can use it. Unfortunately they couldn't find it

I know where the ducts are in our gated community but was given to understand that Telkom wouldn’t allow access. Let’s hope I’m wrong.
