Frogfoot performance issues in George

So far so good with the new ISP. Packet loss is 0,1 -1% on peak times. Compared to 10-15% with the others.

Real test would be today..

Would be interesting to know who was old isp and new isp

Loving this, first time since the fibre was installed last year, no packet loss or little to nothing. Usually it's full of packet loss and high latency

Old ISP two weeks back, same day.

Just an update for prospective clients & readers:

Packetloss has been resolved for nearly half a month without noticeable issues.
So far so good.

Cool. Pity I have packet loss in Milnerton again. Can't deal with this. Cancelled with them today. Good luck. Hope it lasts.

It's the "again" part that I'm really worried about.

They're advertising big again in town. (Vox & Frogfoot together).
I hope they're reading this and note that our neighbourhood will chip in and "advertise" at the same spot if they leave us unusable internet again.

The fact that it took MONTHS to resolve has definitely not gone forgotten nor forgiven.

Also the fact that they have still not actioned any refunds for anyone...

Just did a quick check and it seems Frogfoot's doing loadshedding too.... now it's our turn to have packetloss

They did upgrade to 40Gbps backhaul supposedly in Parklands last Tuesday, was very interesting when woke up to no net because they failed to properly notify clients...
(Parklands backhaul includes Table View, probably includes Milnerton as well).

Why are you not mentioning who your new ISP is?
Mind the speed.

Comparing the old isp to the new one. It's clear as day that the connection is soooo much better.
Last night felt a bit jumpy, but still, no packet loss. Speeds are always full at 100mbps up and down.

Home connect blamed Frogfoot for the majority of the issues, when in fact Frogfoot was working with me closely to help me out. Just because Home connect took a week to reply. With all the findings and tests i had since day of installation, from ping tests, tracerts, speed tests morning and night. 24/7 monitoring of my connection. I could for sure say it was the ISP. Funny thing was, other people in the area on Home Connect did not have the same issue?

I logged a complaint with ISPA, sending all my 102 screenshots of the tests ( took them a while to work through it all ) they sent the member ( Home Connect ) a letter to cancel the service asap and waive the fee's. Just because my connection was never, from day of installation, running at even 70% of what i was paying. Even during the day at 2pm i'd see packet loss and speed dips. 4pm to 11pm it was just terrible, i left online gaming for a while. Felt like a presentation being shown as i stuttered in game.

Even my wife that is not IT anything, was asking whats up with the wifi, it feels slower than the adsl??

So quick quick the line was released to frogfoot and Mind the speed within a hour ( around 6pm ) sorted that out and sent me my account details, i was online. No packet loss, no speed dips ( full speeds always ). Netflix loads so fast, games were smooth as it should be.

2 Weeks later today, never had an issue. Last night like i said earlier felt a bit off, ping spikes of 10-20ms above average. This could be due to the new router i plugged in.

With all that said, quite happy with MTS :)

Would been great if FNOs had option to temporary bypass isp and to some tests to certain servers.
