Cool. I hope Vuma is still trenching in the interim while these discussions are happening...
They've suspended for this week.

Sigh... ok.
They are ahead of schedule. So it won't be long. They have just suspended for the two days. Main reason is to get people to calm down a bit. Things have gotten very heated. You should hear some of the calls Jason has received. I feel sorry for him
We need to get the number of the highups in the city and publish it, let THEM take some heated calls.
I'm frigging boiling over at the moment.

Well, let's hope the ppl complaining actually pitch up at the meeting to hear the facts. Few things I detest more than sum1 complaining without willing to first inform themselves about what it is they're complaining about.
I'm not complaining about Vuma - I've dealt with schitty power long enough to know where the real problem is
I'm really fking pissed off that I've now been off for 16 hours....
I was also pretty pissed about the power this week, but people should also know that vumatel did infact warn as that power outages wil occur and that residents should keep that in mind when they vote.
But I still believe it is worth it
Just so you know, the townhall meeting is all VUMA's idea, not the BCA's
It is a pro-active company that cares about the community that will do a townhall after the incident this week, to give people the chance to voice their issues. I must say that I am really impressed with them.
Me too. My fibre was installed today and I am very happy. It only took 2 hours and was a very clean install. As for the trenches outside-amazing job with reinstating. I wil highly recommend Vuma to anyone.
You can't mention an install without a speedtest![]()
What phase are you in?Speedtest. I did do one. At first I thought something was wrong because I was only getting 100mbps. Then I realised I only have a 100mbps cable ethernet jack(on all computers in the house). I still have not ordered a package from an ISP because I am still not 100%. Atleast I got the insatllation ready.
What phase are you in?
Sinbad, he should be in phase 3, as far as I know, phase 1 and 2 is essentially complete. Phase 4 starts next week, and phase 5 the week after.
