I know there are a few other Blairfolk on this here forrim.

Have you guys registered interest on the Vumatel website? Get your neighbours etc to do it as well. We're top of the "interest" list at the moment!
 
Wow i just checked it out! Yesterday we were 11th now nr1! So i here rollout begins sometime this year right?

No.

Once we have enough interest, they will then start a formal signup process. Once they have enough of those, they start construction.
It can happen this year still, but we need to get people signing.

Also already registered. Checked yesterday and we were still at 14%, someone updated something. Hopefully this all gets going soon!

We need fewer than 100 more expressions of interest.
They have already applied for wayleaves and done high level planning. If we get the last 100 soon they will start construction in September.

Yep, apparently they're planning construction for early October, with some homes then becoming live by Mid November. I asked them for the Blairgowrie rollout plan and was advised it will be released "soon." Really can't wait for that plan, need to know when I can finally cancel my ADSL (and most likely DSTV) line!
 
Rollout will start in Mid October, If they get the wayleaves sooner, they will be able to start sooner.

In the last meeting we had, VUMA said that they were planning on starting at the bottom of Conrad, and moving up from there. But this is subject to change.

Thanks to all that help get us here. The jump mentioned in the forum, was from the survey to choose a fibre provider, where people's details could be given if they were interested. About 500 names was added in one foul swoop.

I must say, from the BCA working with VUMA has been an absolute pleasure. Looking forward to having them in.

No, construction has not yet begun, they're still awaiting wayleave approval.
 
Email this morning from the BCA mentioned construction starts first week of October. Also applications for installation will start that week.
