For introductory cheap pricing it is on contract, but we may make an adjustment to this under conditions we'll release tomorrow...;)

Another note: if you wish to switch from another provider to us, the normal cost is R999 for Vuma to do the reprovisioning. We'll waive this fee for the 1st 10 switches to Crystal Web so it's entirely free to you (this applies to all Vumatel areas)...

I am wondering what the re provisioning costs are, I did not see it mentioned in the RFA at all, or in any of our meetings that there is a costs involved with switching ISP's. We are under the impression that there is no charge.

Will follow up with Jason on this. Just to make sure. As having to pay R999 if I want to switch ISP's for me is making things worse than telkom.

Thanks for the info. Will see if I can get onto the portal. Any other place I can see the costs, while at work?

You can get to the portal from outside the network, you just can't sign up.
But just in case

Awesome, thanks. That is great pricing. Just a little out of my budget atm with all the rate hikes :(

Jason is also not aware of the re provisioning costs, though it may be a set up fee from CW, that some of the other providers have waived. Will give more info when I can.

Vumatel charge the full R999 to all ISPs when a line is provisioned. We double-checked this with them quite a few times, and waiving that charge, while offering the absolute cheapest in the market by a long shot, is just not feasible...

The uptake has been great and we are fast approaching the number of accounts in total we have been prepared to offer on the intro pricing.

We may however extend it, or make some very minor adjustments to it if need be...

Damn, that intro pricing is brilliant.

But going to be honest, the R999 once off expense is not in my budget. Nothing against it. Makes sense why you charge it. But honestly can't afford it at this point, have some unexpected expenses that I first need to pay.

Good offers though, glad the uptake is so high.
 
So, no news about another week's delay for Phase 6? Does this mean we're going live on Monday?

Last I have heard, yes, on Monday you are going live. I have not heard any info about a future delay
