Odd, I would still do a wired test, just to be sure. Also, manually select a different server. Not all speedtest servers are equal. Believe it or not...

EDIT: Who's your ISP? Cool ideas?

My ISP is Web Africa

Tried some other servers and they were slower...will try a wired test over the weekend.

Takes time, but it's painless: and Fiberhoods is mostly excellent.

You apply, they do a site survey (1-2 weeks), they do the line installation (1-2 weeks), your ISP finishes the installation (0-1 week) and you're live thereafter.

All three steps involve on-site visits - the line installation is the most time consuming part, takes around 2-3 hours. The other bits are done in a half-hour.
