Futubox

Oh I see. Well, I am not too phased by the lack of HD channels. I wish they have a free trial so I can see what the quality and function is like.

They did have a 7 day trial at some point. You could always mail them and ask for a 2 day trial or so, or if someone on here still has an account with them, maybe they could give you a chance to watch on theirs for a bit. I stopped using NTV unfortunately, using oss now, because they have channels that cover all the NHL playoff games.

What I remember from NTV though, is that it was always working, and their android app is pleasant to use. It was £14.99 though, not as high as R450?
 
I got Futubox set up on a LG SmartTV last night.

Only thing I didn't like is the playlist is full of channels that are not in English, but after some editing and running back and forth to the TV, I filtered out the non-English channels :)

HD Channels buffer a lot even on a 10mbps line =/
 
Yeah the buffering was just to much for me to handle. I am now with offsidestreams.

How much are you paying for offsidestreams/quickplay.tv and what is the service like? I found NTVs quality great but the buffering makes it unwatchable on a 10mb line even with a capped account.

It certainly is gaining in popularity. Especially because you can run multiple services at a low price, such as netflix, hulu, and your choice of sport subscriptions all from the box.
 
Is there anyone using futubox on a roku 3, whats the setup like ? and how much does it costs?

i wownloaded the app but nothing is working here
 
Is Futubox any better these days?
I really need an alternative arrangement for the E! channel - E!News is important to the mrs... :-(

I tried Futubox.. waste of time... the E! channel buffered badly... the Pron didn't... but it was lousy lol

Will look at ntv now.. hope its hasn't also for the same buffer issue
 
Futubox is crap you get what you pay for. I have a much more stable live TV service and the HD channels are 1080p and never buffer not even when a football match is on.
