In its current form I'm really not that excited about it. Give me a touch screen iPod before the phone comes out and I'll take one of those (my iPod photo has served me well) but would apple really be that stupid? Now that I dont believe for a moment. Anyone that has seen the Keynote cannot possibly not want the iPhone

No - I dont really think it is considering the target market and the fact that ATT doesnt have an extensive 3G service. If it was being launched outside of the US initially like that then it would be a different matter.I need 3G, which it doesn't have. With the next generation of phones set to make use of HSDPA, 3G should be a standard feature on the current mid- to upper range phones, just as GPRS became standard when 3G was introduced. It's a poor showing IMO, and probably a costly oversight seeing that most other phones also have decent music players, with the storage to match. The touch screen alone isn't reason enough to get one.
