Galaxy Nexus versus iPhone 4S versus the rest: specification comparison

Oi Jes, no picture of the Droid RAZR...

In my View that's what set it apart ;)

Anyway here is one I fixed up quickly

If we put a pic in of every device in the table there would be more picture than article :P

I'm not objecting to it, just stating a fact. Hands up: Who wants more pictures?

LOL I know, thats why I included one in my post :)

they comparing the 4 phones, so I would think they should. 2 more pics aren't exactly going to take up that much more space.

Of the three that I have seen the Nexus looks the nicest

Sorry iPhone fanboys but the droid phones are much better in hardware specs.
Combined the others don't touch the i in terms of build quality, look & OS. The newly released iOS5 is the sleekest phone OS out there. Maybe the others phones have better specs, but that's hardly noticeable, I played with an S2 the other day, the phone is nice in terms of thinness and weight, but gots clunky look on the OS side.

No mention of GPU? That plays quite a big role in modern smart phones.

It does (one of the biggest roles, IMO) and once I have some verified facts on the GPUs I'll include them in future comparisons.

Ask and ye shall receive. There are now more pictures in the article. Also: Be nice to jes, he actually did me a favour by adding in pictures when it was supposed to be my responsibility :-)

Apart from the camera, can Android be compared to iPhone? Android vs Android makes sense since it runs the same apps and naturally better hardware will mean it runs better, kinda like comparing PC to PC. The iPhone is a standard single device which apps are developed for kinda like a console, so they meant to just work. The comparison should be the features available to each platform, no?

I'm with you there but no point in bringing up the user experience on this forum... Soon as the specs are out, fandroids slap each other on the back and fall over themselves to proclaim victory over Apple on MyBB. *sigh*
Thing is, Apple or Android, the smartphone development curve is astonishing and we are all benefiting. :D

Good article, but would have liked to see specs of real world use of each phone - for instance battery life, (ehrm Android how do you shape there ?), speed of browser etc.
Specs of components is really meaningless - in the real world, it is how well the OS uses these components. So, you might find that one phone has more memory or faster processor, but that the lower spec phone is way faster at browsing, because their OS is designed better
