Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 worth getting?

I see many reviews saying its sluggish and on the other hand that the s-pen is quite cool.

How does the pen related to general drawing? I would actually like a table that I can study and draw with even its like an entry point tablet. Of course for the more serious drawing one can get a wacom...

Personally I'd get an iPad Air plus a Pencil from Paper. It'll cost less, weigh less, be and feel faster, and the stylus will be pro quality.

I want one as well but I am still undecided. SA still hasn't got the latest update which improves performance and adds user accounts (vital for me).
It certainly is specced well and its screen is great. My only gripe with its build is the cheap looking silver plastic around the edges which ruins such a high end device.

I got mine on Saturday and I'm loving it.

Haven't noticed the much talked about lag at all.

Nice and fast and the display is crystal clear.
