I'm pretty sure I nailed PS2 FreeMcboot, downloading some ISO's to test this evening when i get home, goal is to read the ISO's from the USB drive, I'm hoping there is no compatibility issues like on the Wii with the USB device used, if not, i have 64gigs free for ISO's (limited to 4gigs, all the good titles are more than 4gigs, sigh)

Well done.
I've been meaning to get a free Mcboot Memory card sorted.
I just don't have any urgency to get it done.
So the PS2 has bad loading times via the USB, and that's the actual bottleneck.
There's this. Link which then allows you to load ISO's off of an SD backed memory card.
Check out this video for a review.
There's also an HDD upgrade that can be done if you're using a FAT PS2, here's the video.
I have a slim, so the HDD Route isn't available to me.
Anway, great progress.

Gone HDD (Thanx to Pwnd Games) but still using FreeMcBoot as its faster than FreeHDBoot. Games run off the HD.
Sadly you have a 1TB limit, so cant drop all my ISO's on it

Ah yes Metroid Fusion also on my 10/10 list. For me it was the losing of all abilities and rebuilding the suit

Yep you just pop HD into it and plug it into the back of the Phat PS2:

Not in that store I’m afraid. It’s from CEX in the UK which is a big second hand game store. They have lots of branches and great retro stuff, and if you have an address in the UK you can order online and they’ll send from whichever store has stock.
