Game/console collectors thread

Yeah I am still playing my trusty Total Annihilation on PC since 1998. Love this game and never get tired of it. No 2 games are ever the same.
26 years of playing this game every single week.

My pleasure is Red Alert 2 and Generals.

Problem is Red Alert not working:

Love Red Alert as well, Yuri's Revenge, dig the background music in it

The oldest game I have that I still play occasionally would be Alpha Centauri, I really wish there was a proper modern remake of it with just a graphics etc. overhaul.

Sometimes games should stay the way they are. Like Age Of Empires 2 from the late 90s, still love playing it and do not enjoy the remakes of them

Sure, I don't want them to change anything in the game, but running at resolutions > 640x480 and not having to struggle with OS issues would be nice.

Yikes, okay now that part I can agree with. 640x480 is terrible in the 21st century

In comes emulation & up-scaling.

Its amazing how much life 1080p/4K pumps into old PS2/N64 and so ons games

What I am very impressed with though is when I plug my Sony PSP 3000 into my tv, nice picture, assumed it would look terrible, but I am very impressed. Bought the cable on Takealot a few months ago. Cheap

Fat chance my son will get any of my stuff, I will donate to charity instead

May be an image of video games, newsagent and text
