I had the original Myst back then, also hated it, didnt know what to do, waste of money. Another one I bought that I hated was Atlantis. When I bought Baldurs Gate in 1999 only then was I happy with my first purchased game.

i wish i had a OG Ps1 Myst, just for the because lol
My bad, I meant OG versions on PC. When I bought my PS1 brand new in London in '98 or '99 I played mostly Crash Bandicoot and Grand Turismo and Carmageddon

Sadly I learned the hard way that some cartridges = dead the moment the lose power.
Copy protection key in RAM that goes bye bye the moment power is lost
That was also the day I went f it and join the emulation scene.

I went the route of, bought a second copy of Pokemon Crystal, removed the battery by stripping it from the metal pins.Sadly I learned the hard way that some cartridges = dead the moment the lose power.

Added new battery in to my mangled pins. Added Isolation tape.
So if 5 years have passed, I swop the battery easily while the game is on, save again with new battery. Its kak but it works for me.
Want to find a better way to hold the battery.
Also waiting for my gbvflasher to save my save files going forward

I got one from my sister. But the salon broke it. Takes 5 minutes to start up.

I stay faaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from any bob seller that has less than 20 ratings or a score of <96%. I always review their feedback statements from other buyers. You can smell a rat a mile away when you go dig deeper this way.
