My plan was to swap out for one that also play games.
Got one, but ended up in a house full of Lego sets so there goes that idea.

Seeing all those PS3 titles up there, it's one of the consoles I've never owned and I'm thinking of getting one.
I've done some googling and there is a lot of mixed opinions on this, but looks like the PS3 slim is the better one to go for? Not really worried about modding, but would like something that will last and not give too much issues.

Main reason for keeping mine is cause of my massive PSN digital library, sadly I cant install the games on PS5
Anyway:
Super slim cant be modded but is the latest model that had the least amount of problems.
Slim can be modded but only has PS2 emulation <-- Best middle ground
Phat has PS2 chip can mod but is also the one that's the least reliable (See YLOD).
That said PS3 Emulation has gone a long way (RPCS3) and is also an option if you not into collecting.
