Game/console collectors thread

Not sure if it counts as collectors..

They both work, however, first thing on the "list" is changing out capacitors, as they are going to be problematic going forward ( if not already)

The one has a hard mod done ( evoX) the other , i suspect is a softmod. Have ordered an ide to sata adapter, so the hard mod one will be getting an SSD , for the "why not" of it

I fired it up now to see and it’s amazing. Ultra widescreen, 160hz and no artifacts at all. You can see so many details that just aren’t possible with emulation.

Also tried it out, rocks, Pity it cant use Mouse controls.

That said I can see how Nintendo isn't happy with it, I mean they went hard at Yuzu and wiped it off the earth, pretty sure they looking for an angle on this as well.

Also would have loved universal Decomp, ie one where I could select/drop any .n64 to run.

The Yuzu devs were freaking idiots. They deserved to be shut down. I’m way more upset about Citra. I think the N64 recompilations are pretty safe though. TBH there’s not much Nintendo can do about them since it’s just an exe that anyone can distribute. Really excited to see what the modding community does with these.

Yuzu and Citra where both on GitHub as well. You only paid for latest releases.
At least Nintendo is not going after the Citra forks, so there is hope it was only a casualty cause of Yuzu and that itself was only target cause of current Switch emu.

Thing is Nintendo is well known making money on re-releases and this kinda counters that move, will see.

Disc rot. Never experienced it with any disc based games. I have had my fair share of it though with some Laserdiscs and HD DVDs. With regard to the latter, Warner Bros. discs were especially prone to that.
