Game/console collectors thread

Lol probably going to get raked over the coals for this one, but don't really care, was using a PSP for PSP quite obviously and NES emulation, but I am older and small screens are becoming a problem, had store credit decided on getting a 7inch console for NES emulation, wasn't looking to spending millions on console, already have a "xbox360, PSP, and NES console", just a bigger screen to do NES emulation and perhaps GB and GBA. This one can do a lot more but I am just after NES emulation and wanted something "protable" and larger screen.

I wouldn't call this a "special" about the same price you would pay importing had store credit and a discount voucher so only paid R200 for it. Looking forward to testing it out. For a quick game session it will do just fine especially for NES which I grew up with :)
Let the rediculing begin :)

Lol well paid 200 bucks not too bothered.....still have my PSP if it ends up being bad.....Will see how it goes when it arrives....As it is I have have issue with the psp NES emulation it isn't full screen either, haven't really tried another nes emulator to see if I can get full screen, snes is full screen and mega drive is full screen on the psp. For NES/SNES it would do a excelent job..

Besides I am always willing to try something at least once :)

Then why buy anything, Jailbreak that puppy and pop Retroarch on it.

It can also play PS1 games if you repack em.

To make games full screen you need to change display settings/scaling in Retroarch.

Will need to check it out, got the PSP secondhand and had the latest FW on it, only has a temp jailbreak which you need to restart every time you turn it on, so a hassle in it self....Nes just works on this.....and big screen, once I have tried it you can tell me told you so ...........:D

I did check out all of the little handhelds sub 1k and this was about the best of the bunch......X7 has the same hardware, 4.3 screen no thanks......if I wanted to I could just have gotten a wireless controller and connect it with my tablet which would have been miles better performance wise and quality, but then I might as well just play on PC or NES console or TV and kinda defeats the purpose of the portable aspect. As it is got tired of constantly charging batteries for the 360 and got wired controllers.

Larger screen size is what I needed, that one you linked is a 2 inch screen no thanks, the more expensive ones, might as well just get a switch and get it over and done with, and just for NES games what a waste.....R200.00 bucks for this one regardless if it sucks on other emulators is perfect for NES emulation....

Lol doesn't take alot to please me..........

You can do it my way...

Bought a Switch for my wife as an Xmas present.... but started to use it more than her :D

Have a stock 360 was considering getting a modded one, it would be awesome for emulation but meh it is a hassle to say the least....and sega drive mega collection for the 360 I haven't seen under R400.00 and no NES.
Which why I went with this less hassle even if does some games half decent and dirty it is still less of a hassle and cheaper and less hassle

Around the 2.5k mark you do get some decent handhelds running emuelec, but my wallet says no.........lol
