Game/console collectors thread

Talking about the PSP, I'm still trying to get my hands on a good condition CIB unit. If anyone spots one give me a shout. Preferably the OG design (PSP-1000/2000/3000).

Have a stock 360 was considering getting a modded one, it would be awesome for emulation but meh it is a hassle to say the least....and sega drive mega collection for the 360 I haven't seen under R400.00 and no NES.
Which why I went with this less hassle even if does some games half decent and dirty it is still less of a hassle and cheaper and less hassle

Around the 2.5k mark you do get some decent handhelds running emuelec, but my wallet says no.........lol

If you go big screen options open up, even if you have access to a crappy old PC.

Batocera is grate for emulation and runs on basicly anything even a Pi.

Lol I got my PSP for free, it is the street version..... And to be honest I use it often, just the screen size is getting small as I have aged......It is running PRO CFW softmod. I have been looking at getting it modded with the SD card mod and a screen upgrade mod.....just never got around to it.....

Not needed have a old tube TV and a old plasma screen with VGA and HDMI input and have a old PC I connect to it, just recently I got my self wired Xbox controllers..... It is just the portable front.....but I am not paying in excess of 2K or more for that....lol I am gamer but I have budgetary limits

LOL, this is not an error screen:

Knew going in that a UGreen LAN adapter USB 3.0 wont work.

Tried everything to ensure I can't use one.
Plugged in a USB 2.0 which came to the same screen.
Sat for 15 minutes trying different ports and shutting down starting up each time.

Turns out I just had to press A to advance :)

@AlphaJohn

X12 arrived today, and well I am damn happy with the end result, exactly what I wanted nothing more nothing less, it isn't for everything one, and the 7 inch screen so much bigger and enjoy it far more than having to squint on the smaller screens.
So yeah not bad at all, once you spoiled with higher quality handheld I understand the reluctance and value in the entry handhelds. Pig in mud and all that, all I am saying....:p

I think the scaling is pretty decent for 7 inches, it is a TN panel, colors are all decent, perhaps a little washed out. Viewing angles aren't too bad for a TN panel. Battery life is decent, emulators are a bit iffy with some rom types like the 7 -1 or 1000 in 1 nes roms.....

Sega mega drive and genesis runs fine, SNES and Nes runs butter smooth, not going to bother with N64 or PS1, haven't really tried mame all that much, there is a few mame ones I would like to give a shot.

D-pads are okay, thumb sticks are shitty thought....first thing I will be modding to fix after which they will be fine as well I do miss turbo buttons, if you know you know, it is however cool that you can reassign keys, I prefer A and B reversed, keys size could be a slightly bigger for combo presses.

Went through most of the games preloaded.....mostly the best of the games that were released, it did lack super mario 2 and 3 for nes and SNES ghost and goblins, legend of kage, and a few others that I loaded my self. The arcade game I really look forward to loading is called pang or buster bros, really hard game the other game is Pinball action and bobble bubble....

What is cool is that you just upload the game to the game folder and select the game you, don't even need to load the emulator first just select the game and job done, games also have saves. It is no fuss and no thrills emulation and game play.

R9k :X3:

It's a decent price, not an amazing deal but in line with what you can expect to pay. It did come with an extra controller and a charging dock which was nice.
Whoa I didn't realise there was still such a market for minty PS4's, that's what a PS5 disc version costs 2hnd

Now I feel like I robbed my friend for paying R7500 for a 2nd hand xBox Series X in the original box that all looks 100% mint right off the showroom floor.

Nope, nothing special about a Series X. Not a big demand for those, but that's still a decent price.

Way too much for that, IMO. Not sure now but Takealot had them in stock for a while as low as R700 odd, as I recall.

Highly doubt that. Looking at international pricing seems on par with customs added.

R700 is around the price you would pay for original that doesn't have HDMI out.

Sooo tempted

If it wasn't for Nintendo's sale I probably would be pulling the trigger right now.

I only ever got to play on an Atari once at the house of a grade one friend, it was pretty neat.

Randomly placed the starting bid on this last week, nobody else bid anything and now it's mine

Do not open it.

On a semi sad note, My PS2 got retired last night.

JP Silver phat that went back into a box. Now have a PC potent enough in the bedroom that can play its games at 1080p so would rather keep the OG inna good state.

I have no intention of opening this one, I have other PS2 controllers and this one is for display purposes only.
