Game/console collectors thread

kak one! maybe a polish can fix it up? one of those layer grinding machine things, i think BT games has them? if you have a BT games around you

listen.... how did the Switch repair go?
Thanks. Before I give it a resurface, will look at doing the minimum clean I can give them.
I have a problem with the message rather. But alas, it is Friday.

Switch lite has been fixed.

Now it has a black stick vs the white stick. From the games I have played, like Doom where you need to navigate fast, it feels like it is working.

No luck with the Joycon for the normal switch. Will calm down and fix that another day.

don't think i told you but i got a Switch V1 last week, its not the greatest condition but its acceptable for the kids, they just play Fortnite and Fall guys anyways,

The joycons are OEM but both got slight drifts, so I've ordered one of these so they can just play in peace,

I've also ordered one of those repair kits, similar to the below, so once it arrives I'm going to attempt the repair,

looks pretty easy but ya, we know how that kak goes. if it fails, atleast they have the big one to continue playing while i sort the joy cons out

Nice one, just saying you should give it a go too.

Ask @AlphaJohn nintendo has some lekker cheap games when they do specials.

The repair is straight forward on the joy con, just not lekker when the new stick does not work.

On my V1 Switch I lifted the rubber flap round the bottom of the joycon with a cocktail stick and blew around underneath it with a can of compressed air (with the straw thingy). It seemed to work quite well but you had to repeat this procedure every 2 or 3 weeks. Good for a quick fix though.

We mostly use ours docked and for that, I would recommend 8bitdo ultimate (see Hall effect)

For seldom portable use, I picked up a pair of HORI Splits from Nintendo when they where on R799 sale. Have no complaints on them but also dont use them that much. Have 2 docks, one for each TV.

As for games like @My_King say there are some great games that can be had for cheap, just keep an eye on
https://www.dekudeals.com/ that rate them based on score.

this is literally my 3rd switch, but i was more interested in the buy/sell of the previous ones to support the Sony habit, anyways.... when i signed in i saw i still had R40 credit on my name from the previous ones and there are some SICK games under R100!

i think these were just abused to ****, i see some prestik under the body of the joycon and just decided screw it, get the repair kit and just do it

I just binned mine. Wasnt gonna fork out R2K for 2 new crappy controllers that did not even feel comfortable to play with, and also would probably die again 100 hours in.

@EL'Diablo Going to play some Delta Force.....ah ****

I just hope the C&C Generals Zero Hour I got from a different supplier is in a better state.
a proper RANT rating is due on the sellers name! regardless of the price, its sometimes way more than the money side of things

my BOB score,

1992 R2 comic!

I've stared collecting the Sony Fifa's, not sure why but im sure we all ask ourselves that kak once a week.

Final Fantasy cause its what i was raised on

Eyepet cause kids like the eye toy on the PS3

Amethyst Gaming is pretty cool seller, 3rd purchase from them
