Game/console collectors thread

Yes, thats another reason the Hori's was a good option, the device just feels sturdier.
i was worried a bit about that, wont lie

it just doesnt feel ... i dont know, like comfy and sturdy enough for a full sides switch, kids hands are also smaller than ours and can image how bs it must be to them

The sad part about 360 Emulation is that not many games are supported, so its a slow process of getting working roms.

Hopefully, now that the store is closed more people will be willing to work on its emulation so that it can rival RPCS3 cause I am in no mood to hunt for a modded console.

It's actually sad that a lot of the 360 games i had digitally I can't play anymore, even ones I could up to about a year ago all just started to not work anymore :(

Exactly. Also all my 360 games I bought on US/NZ stores stopped working since some time last year for some odd reason :(

I can install via the website, but if I try to run them on my Xbox, it keeps saying I don't own them.

Yup have the same issue, all the stuff I bought on the UK store, which is really odd as it shows I own them :-(

Here's a "high definition" gaming console on Tal:

LOL. 480x272 screen but look at the price.

Is it a region lock or is it that they're phasing these out?

Some form of region lock cause a lot of cross-region still works.

Oblivion = US bought don't work (Not in SA store)
Lego Batman = NZ Bought don't work (Not in SA store)
Far Cry 2 = US bought works no problem (Available in SA store)

F knows what where and how.

I heard MS was phasing out much of their stuff on XB?

PS stuff still works whether US purchased, Hong Kong or Japanese.
Nintendo still works whether Japanese or HK.
Apple still works.

Bull ****

PlayStation does not allow you to change your region, so you must to buy all your games on a different account and swap accounts on your device to install them.

Microsoft allows you to swap regions on your account which is why I have the same account that I used when I stayed in France/China and New Zealand. I can make a US Microsoft account and go buy Oblivion and play that, I just can't play it on my ZA account cause the game isn't and never was on ZA store, something I could do in the past.

Microsoft just closed the 360 store front, you can still download all your old games on 360, just cant buy games on it.

PS: I cant play any of my NZ bought games on PS3 cause I have lost access to the email address I used for that account and Sony refuse to transfer it to another one. :(

Oh and while on subject.
^ can confirm I did see games getting less in the listing.

Where did I say PSN allows you to change your region? You're full of BS yourself.

The point is that you can play Japanese account or disc purchased games on a different account, even the DLC work. The save files don't carry over and you have to start a new game though.

One thing which doesn't work is consumable currency. That's linked to the actual logged in account. But on the PS 4 or 5 (maybe 3 too) your Japan account purchased game with its DLC works on a different logged in account, the issue is that save files are account linked.

PSN allows you to play a Japanese game bought from Japan PSN while logged into an SA account.

My point however was that they don't perform IP region checks.

Well yes you can still do that until they switch those servers off.

Shame. Don't lose your email access.
