I stayed up almost all night to shop for certain products on @game. At first, the Game's site crashed. Later, after 2 hours of trying, I managed to place an order successfully. The order confirmation message was also received. After two days, Game sent me an email stating that one product from the order had been cancelled, which was actually discounted; the other products were kind of fakely discounted, but I thought why shop elsewhere and chose Game. Upon confrontation, Game's representative said the product in stock is damaged and might only work for a few days, and they tried to find the product at other warehouses from Cape Town to Joburg but couldn't, and they even checked with the supplier and couldn't arrange one. This raised more suspicion, as, let's say, the product is installed. After installation, the user faces a problem and demands a replacement. How would they do that if the supplier doesn't even have a single piece in stock? Even after insisting and trying to work out something, I was just shut down by the agent. I requested refunds for the remaining products too, as I didn't want to do business with such a company. She said she couldn't because it's already with the courier. Are they really allowed to cancel an order after confirmation? Is there somewhere I can complain? Am I overreacting or ranting? Any other suggestions?
