Gaming on 1440p

How many of you game on 1440p and what games do you play?

What hardware are you packing and are you happy with its performance for 1440p?

I game at 1440p .

3770k >4770k soon a board arrived from RMA
z97 extreme extreme 6 ,waiting for this board!
4x4Gb memory
500gb ssd and 3tb drive.
Gtx 970 for now ,have option going gtx 980 or R9 390x. Will choose based on how bf1 plays.


I mainly play overwatch and bf4 ,very happy how the setup runs!

I guess it also depends on what screen you have, and whether it comes calibrated from the factory.

1070 is enough, from my experience anyway. Can supply more details if you need

Noticeable difference from 1080p.

Please can you put me down for the 970 when you upgrade I think you should go 980 for sure

I do, but only for like a week now.. ;o I have a MSI GTX1070, MSI Z87-G43 mainboard, 24gb DDR3-1600 and an i5-4570 (and have an SSD too).

Can run Rise of the Tomb Raider with all settings on max and stays just above 60fps as long as I keep AA off, with AA on it goes more like ~40fps, I find that I don't need AA at 1440p though.
ATM I'm playing Subnautica and there I see frame rate drops to like 30fps every now and then but I think that has a lot more to do with optimization issues rather than my hardware (game is still under development).

Plays elite-dangerous, planetside2, dota, etc.
The gsync makes a huge difference

I think this has changed quite a bit since the close alpha though.

The 1060 and RX 480 now perform basically identically and I'm guessing that'll be faster than a 970.

Hmm, good question can't remember.. Will need to confirm. It definitely wasn't FXAA cos that one makes everything look fuzzy IMHO, so one of the other options.

I dunno how you can get it in game, I use an app (MSI afterburner) that shows stuff like fps, cpu usage etc on my keyboard's LCD.
