Grammar is important when it comes to arithmetic. It changes the problem fundamentally. Ever heard of story sums? It's how algebra is taught to grade 1s.

Draining battery to 10% ≠ using 10% of battery. Crying grammar nazi has a place, this is not it...
 
Seems a bit costly just to keep a 600W (Under load draw from plug) PC powered for loadshedding.
In terms of the size of the system needed to ensure DOD is kept at good level.
 
The problem is to be able yo get out of a lead acid the way people recommend to do the calc you have to pull almost no load

If u have to adjust for peukert

You have to buy double the capacity

why if you need to be paying lithium money not just buy lithium

The moment you pull some load you need three lead acids to match a single lithium

A colon can completely change the meaning of a sentence.

For example

Prices change so often. but yes, people must just skip drop in LA/GEL or even 12V lithium and just go 24-48V. When my LA died i bit the bullet and went 6KVA/5KWh and it runs my entire house except geyser, oven and pool pumps. with discharge never hitting less than 35% in 4 hrs. I would say i "wasted" R13k on my trolley last year but i needed it in a pinch to keep the business going.

i convinced 2 people to NOT GET overpriced ecoflow's, they dont realise how much you must spend for a decent KWH. instead they got i powerwall/inverter setup for less at way more capacity

Has anyone bought from them

Stock a 2.5kwh 48v battery ie 50ah thus making the plunge into 5kw inverter cost closer to a a 3kw trolley

Ie buy a R14k battery and a 10k axpert 5kw use it as if it is a 2.5kw until you biy second battery then use it as if it is a 5kw

for the same money as a 3kw trolley foot in the door

Those true mobile units like Ecoflow are VERY fit for purpose purchases, and in my opinion not very useful above level 3 for the bare basics

Honestly they fancy caravan batteries for rich people with motorhomes. I dont believe they have the fastest switchover (UPS feature) either. The most useful purpose is for people who wants a good looking device, who has money but is renting an apartment, so cant integrate. otherwise they just reallllly well marketed. Then someone with an 80w new mac says "it runs my laptop for hours!"... someone comes with a 500w pc thinks, oh cool..... but no

Imo anything with less than 1kwh is a waste of time for load shedding especially 4hrs sessions

To me price per kwh is where it is at
