Only drawback is the CRT monitor chows tons of power

Only 9W and with OSSC you can use any monitor/TV

And yes Im into Retro big time, see Anbernic

Its been ages , but from what i recall , pull out that cartridge pop the new one in pull the power switch and there you game

No extended load screen with intros ie minutes to get in game lately

Besides a Steam deck would be a waste for me. Only use my Wife's Switch once in a while, have my trusty old Anbernic with 8000 roms always on me ready to go:

I did a 1KW setup for the folks with a 200AH Mecer lithium (~2.3kWh usable) for 14k
No need to buy AGM kak if you do it right

You just have recharge time issue with that if the load is too high in which case you may need to up it to 24V.

I would easily db connect anything inverter , naturally you have to select the circuits you want on it

Ie leave most of the db on eskom
Seperate the lights and pc/tv circuit add it to light circuit , get it its own earth leakage and just run a sepperate neutral for it

That way no leads , could even ad a changeover switch for incase of inverter/battery fault

To be able to go back to eskom

To be certified you need a changeover switch

I was looking into doing that, 3k for monitor, 4k second hand series S and a portable battery pack for about 3k. Not super portable but a little easier

My MSI gaming laptop is a power hungry beast even when I'm not gaming, and has burnt through two 100AH AGMs in my Mecer 1kW pure sine wave inverter.

Definitely do your maths before you even think about gaming on an inverter.

Hm,my 3080MSI lappy is using a 280w supply and hits max watts on Cyberpunk,can do about 7hours on the mecer lithium

240W, 480W @ 24V but yeah if your load is less that 240W then you should survive multiple sessions.

And buy lithium only
